Promoting Sustainability through Circular Economy
Within our biorefineries, we utilize raw materials and residues from local agriculture to produce climate-friendly fuels and high-quality biocomponents for industries such as feed, food, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. Our innovative technologies, developed in-house, make us a leading force in the African biofuel market. By intertwining economic success, social responsibility, climate protection, and supply security, we actively contribute to global climate preservation with the assistance of our 1,000+ employees. Our ambitious aim is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
Innovations for Environmentally Friendly Raw Materials
Our portfolio extends beyond the production of first and second- generation biofuels. We also supply biofertilizer, animal feed, and renewable raw materials like bio-sterols and bio-glycerin to the health, cosmetics, and food industries. Furthermore, we anticipate expanding this range by incorporating high-quality proteins. Recognizing the immense potential of biomethane, we are progressively expanding our
capacities worldwide. Additionally, we explore production possibilities for green hydrogen, synthetic fuels, and the utilization of CO2 derived from our plants. The production of bio-components for the chemical industry is slated for 2030.
A Comprehensive Technology Approach
Our biorefinery concept functions as a closed-loop system, utilizing the entire plant to produce biofuels. We refine over 99 percent of residual waste materials into high-quality co-products through subsequent stages. By doing so, we significantly contribute to the strengthening and decarbonization of regional agriculture while providing the industry with sustainable green molecules.
Conservation of Resources through Technology
Continual optimization in resource utilization is a central focus in our biorefineries. This approach enhances energy efficiency and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Through multiple process stages, we
achieve nearly complete recycling of the raw materials we employ. This enhances the efficiency of our production processes and perpetually diminishes our carbon footprint. Remarkably, we generate 10 MWh of biofuel from 1 MWh of production energy.
Driving Sustainability Forward
Our technology enables us to close ecological cycles, resulting in minimal waste generation within our facilities. However, this is merely one aspect of our commitment to sustainability. By utilizing previously untapped waste materials, such as straw, we unlock additional potential for the production of sustainable and renewable products. The by- products of our plants, including feed and fertilizers, are reintegrated into agriculture, exemplifying sophisticated sustainability practices.
